TalkBox I has the following features:

  • A small, user-configurable symbol set (up to 12 different selectables, which can be words, phrases or utterances).
  • Digitized speech output.
  • The access mode is direct selection.
  • The cost is approximately $CAD 50, plus the cost of the speaker.
  • Requisite skill level: advanced (at present; we are developing routes to obtain a TalkBox I system that has lower knowledge barriers)
