Our logo is a 3-D representation of a Pythagoras Tree, shown in a palette of rainbow colours, emerging from a box.
The Pythagoras Tree is a set of squares in a self-similar pattern, where each triple of squares encloses a right-angle triangle. This fractal symbolizes the generative properties of communication systems, wherein smaller units combine together to form larger semantic units. A objective of the project is that instances of TalkBox will provide or improve, in some fashion, this aspect of communication for individuals. The palette of colours represent the large variety of different types of symbol sets (e.g., phrases, words, letters, picture communication symbols, etc).
